Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

For a cancellation within the 24 hours prior to an appointment, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the session price the first time it occurs. Any further cancellations will be charged at 100% of the session price.

Do you take insurance?

We do not directly bill insurance. If your insurance allows reimbursement for out of network providers, we can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement by request. If you want to do this, just let us know and provide any prescriptions you have for massage if you received one.

Can I use my Personal Injury Protection (PIP) from a car accident?

Yes, we treat car accident claims on a limited basis. Please contact john@northseattlebodywork.com if you are interested in using a PIP for payment prior to scheduling.

Please have your claim number, adjustor contact information, accident date, and insurance ID number prepared. Payment will be billed at a rate of $45 per unit.

Can I use my FSA/HSA card to pay for treatment?

Yes.

How often I should receive treatment?

Bodywork has a cumulative effect, so if you are dealing with a chronic issue you want long term relief on, typically we will recommend weekly or bi-weekly treatment for the first 2-6 sessions, depending on the severity of condition.

If your goal is more maintenance and general wellness, every 3-4 weeks is a good frequency. For people in high stress occupations or athletes, every 2 to 3 weeks would be ideal.

We do our best to respect that there is a financial and time cost to receiving treatments. We recommend what we think is ideal, and let you determine what works with your schedule.
